BUT THE REVENUE IN THE GENERAL FUND, UM, CONTINUES TO GROW STRONG.
THE, UH, BUDGET LAST YEAR WAS 31.9.
YEAR TO DATE, WE'RE ACTUALLY SITTING AT 34 LAST YEAR.
THE YEAR TO DATE, ACTUAL FOR THIS YEAR IS SITTING AT $52 MILLION.
UH, SO ABOUT $18 MILLION OVER WHERE WE WERE THIS TIME LAST YEAR.
AND IF YOU REMEMBER THE PRESENTATION FROM LAST TIME AS DUE TO THE ADDITIONAL SALES TAXES, UM, THAT WE WERE RECEIVING, THAT WILL BE GOING AWAY.
I'LL TOUCH ON THAT AGAIN IN A MOMENT.
UH, EXPENSES, JUST KINDA GIVE YOU AN IDEA.
EXPENSES WITH THE CITY OF SHIRTS, ESPECIALLY IN THE GENERAL FUND, TEND TO BE VERY LINEAR THROUGHOUT AND EVEN THROUGH MONTH TO MONTH.
UM, YOU'LL SEE SOME CHANGES USUALLY AROUND DECEMBER, MAYBE A LITTLE BIT LOWER ON AVERAGE JUST DUE TO THE HOLIDAYS, AND LESS BUSINESSES ARE, ARE BEING ABLE TO PROVIDE SERVICES OR MAKING PURCHASES OR FULFILLING ORDERS.
UH, BUT FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR, WE'RE WE KIND OF, UH, WE'RE IN A VERY STANDARD, UH, SET AMOUNT, UH, WITH THE ONLY GENERAL SPIKES TEND TO BE MAYBE A CAPITAL PURCHASE.
IT'S LIKE A ONE TIME BIG THING THAT WE, THAT WE WENT OUT AND BOUGHT.
AS YOU CAN SEE, AS FOR, FOR LAST YEAR, WE WERE AT 26.1 ACTUAL EXPENDITURES.
AND, UM, TO DATE FOR THIS YEAR, WE'D BE AT 26.4.
SO WITH THE, UH, OVERALL INCREASE IN THE BUDGET VERSUS OVER, UH, WE'RE TRENDING A LITTLE BIT HIGHER ON THAT AS WELL.
UH, THE ALOR, THIS IS, UH, JUST TO KINDA GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHEN THE CITY USUALLY GETS, USUALLY GETS THE BULK OF ITS MONEY, UM, FROM I HAVE LOWER ON SALES TAX OR I, I LOWER PROPERTY TAXES.
UH, SO THOSE PROPERTY TAXES GET DELIVERED, UH, WITH A DUE DATE OF AROUND JANUARY 1ST.
AND SO YOU'LL SEE QUITE A BIT OF PAYMENTS IN DECEMBER, JANUARY, EVEN SOME ONES COME IN FEBRUARY THAT COME IN A LITTLE BIT LATER.
UM, BUT THE REST OF THE YEAR PROPERTY TAXES ARE REALLY NON-EXISTENT.
WE GET SOME MONEY IN, BUT OVERALL IT'S NOT, OVERALL IT'S NOT A VERY BIG

IMPACT.SALES TAXES, AS I MENTIONED BEFORE, USUALLY THE BULK OF THE GENERAL FUND REVENUE.
IT COMES FROM SALES, UH, FROM PROPERTY TAXES YOU SAW, WE GET 'EM ALL IN A COUPLE MONTHS.
UM, AS YOU MENTIONED LAST TIME I WAS UP HERE, UH, WE WERE TALKING ABOUT THE SALES TAXES AND HOW WE'VE BEEN GETTING A, UH, UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO GET ADDITIONAL SALES TAXES THAT THESE INCREASES ARE SUBSTANTIAL, BUT THEY WILL BE GOING AWAY.
I HAVE ALSO TOUCHED BASE WITH THOSE INVOLVED PROVIDING THESE SALES TAXES TO US, AND THEY HAVE INDEED CONFIRMED THAT THEY HAVE MADE THE CHANGES, UM, TO THEIR OPERATIONS.
AND SALES TAXES WILL BE DECREASING TO ALMOST NON-EXISTENT BY THE END OF QUARTER THREE.
UM, I'M NOT SURE IF Y'ALL HAVE CHECKED THE CURRENT AMOUNT WE'VE RECEIVED IN JUNE, UH, BUT IT IS TWICE THE HIGHEST MONTH SEEN ON THIS CALENDAR OR ON THIS, UH, CHART.
UH, SO IT'LL BE, UH, SEEING THESE ELEVATED LEVELS ON THE NEXT REPORT AS WELL.
UM, AND BY THE TIME WE'RE WRAPPING UP FOR THE YEAR, THOSE LEVELS SHOULD BE DECREASING BACK TO NORMAL AMOUNTS.
UM, SO AS, AS, AGAIN, THESE ARE ONE TIME IN NATURE, WE HAVE CONFIRMED WITH THE BUSINESS THAT THEY'RE CURRENTLY DOING OR PROVIDING THESE, UH, INCREASES.
AND, UH, THOSE INVOLVED ARE CONTINUING WITH THEIR PLAN.
AND WE WILL BE REDUCING THE SALES TAXES, UM, BY THE END OF THIS YEAR.
SO WE'LL ENJOY IT WHILE IT LASTS.
UH, PERMITS, AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THIS CHART AND FROM THE NATURE OF PERMITS, THESE ARE VERY, UM, HAVE A LOT OF VARIANCE ON HOW MUCH COMES IN AND WHEN THIS IS REALLY TIED TO, UM, UM, SORT OF DEMAND.
SO IF WE HAVE A LOT OF INVENTORY, A LOT OF HOUSES, UM, MAYBE THEY DON'T NEED A BUILD, THEY DON'T THINK IT'S PROPER FOR BILL, WE CAN HAVE DELAYS IN HOW, UH, HOW FAST THE CITY ENDS UP GROWING.
UM, THESE KIND OF REVENUES ARE ALSO A LITTLE DIFFICULT TO, UM, PLAN SORT OF REOCCURRING EXPENSES AROUND, BECAUSE ONE YEAR WE COULD HAVE, UM, A BIG SPIKE.
WE HAVE A LOT OF BUSINESSES COME IN, MAYBE A LOT OF COMMERCIAL OR A LOT OF RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE NEXT YEAR.
UM, THAT JUST DOESN'T COME IN.
UM, IT'S ALL VERY RELIANT ON, ON DEVELOPMENT AND DEVELOPERS, UM, INTEREST RATES ALSO PLAY A PART IN THAT AS WELL, AS WELL AS HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY KIND OF MOVING INTO US.
SO, UM, JUST WANNA GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHY THE PERMIT SEEMED SO WILD AND DIFFERENT ON, ON THIS ONE.
AS FAR AS THE ACTUAL DEVELOPMENT ITSELF, NEW RESIDENTIAL, WE'RE ACTUALLY ROUGHLY IN THE SAME AMOUNT, UM, THAT WE WERE THE FIRST SIX MONTHS OF LAST YEAR, 2 16, 2 11 THIS YEAR.
VERY, VERY CLOSE AND COMMERCIAL.
UH, 15 TO 12 USUALLY HAVE QUITE A, A FEWER COMMERCIAL PERMITS.
UM, BUT THOSE END UP BEING MORE HIGH DOLLAR AMOUNT USUALLY.
UM, SO WE'RE DEVELOPING AROUND THE SAME PACE AS WE WERE THIS TIME LAST YEAR.
UH, FRANCHISES, UH, THESE COME IN AS, UH, UTILITIES BASICALLY, AND, AND TELECOM THAT USE OUR RIGHT OF WAY.
SO THE CITY OWNS, UH, THE RIGHT OF WAY.
WE HAVE ACCESS TO NEXT TO ALL OF OUR ROADWAYS, ALL THE POWER POLES GO THERE, UTILITY LINES, UM, AND TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO THOSE UTILITY LINES FOR THOSE UTILITIES, THOSE COMPANIES, UH, PAY US A PORTION OF THESE SALES OF THE ELECTRICITY OR OF THE TELE, UH, TELEPHONE CHARGES IN ORDER TO ACCESS THOSE.
INFRASTRUCTURE, UH, THESE ARE GENERALLY VERY, UH, STANDARD, VERY FLAT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
UH, WE HAD A LITTLE SPIKE THIS LAST YEAR AS WE CAUGHT UP ON OUR SOLID WASTE, UM, FRANCHISE WHEN WE CAUGHT UP WITH THEM A BIT ON THE WATER AND SEWER REVENUE.
AGAIN, THESE ARE ALSO VERY RELATIVELY FLAT, UH, CHARGES.
EVERYONE USES ROUGHLY THE SAME AMOUNT OF WATER.
RANGE IS A FLAT OR, UH, AND THEN GARBAGE IS SORT OF A FLAT CHARGE.
UH, SO YOU WON'T SEE TOO MUCH VARIATION WITH THESE WATER'S.
THE ONE THAT YOU'LL SEE DIP IN THE WINTER MONTHS AND COME BACK, YOU SEE IN THE GRAY IN THE SUMMER MONTHS, USUALLY, DEPENDING ON IF IT'S, UM, A WET OR DRY SUMMER.
UH, AS WELL, SOME FOLKS TEND TO STOP WATERING IN THE SUMMER WHEN THEY SEE ALL THOSE WARNINGS.
THEY'RE LIKE, HEY, YOU KNOW, WE'RE IN STAGE FOUR RESTRICTIONS, ONLY WATER BETWEEN, UM, SEVEN AND EIGHT FOR 15 MINUTES AT A TIME, ONLY BY HAND AND ALL THAT KIND OF STUFF.
UH, LUCKILY IF IN SHIRTS, IF ANYONE'S LISTENING, UM, WE DON'T HAVE THOSE RESTRICTIONS.
WE HAVE OUR SEPARATE WATER SUPPLY.
ALL THE ONES YOU HEAR ON THE SAN ANTONIO NEWS ARE THE EDWARDS AQUIFER.

UM, WATER IN THE WINTER, UH, WE DO OUR SEWER AVERAGING, SO WE ENCOURAGE LESS WATER USE.
AND THE GRASS IS DORMANT, SO IT DOESN'T NEED AS MUCH, UH, WATER ARE, UH, AS FAR AS SEWER GOES, UM, THIS IS A ZOOMED

IN PORTION.SO WHILE IT LOOKS LIKE A VERY DRAMATIC INCREASE, IT'S ABOUT, UM, IT'S NOT QUITE THAT DRAMATIC.
UH, OVERALL, UM, SEWER REVENUES DID IN OR SEWER REVENUE DEGREE INCREASE WITH THE, UH, INCREASED FEES THAT WE, UM, PUT INTO PLACE, UH, TO MAINTAIN OUR SEWER LINES FOR THE LAST, UH, FEE INCREASE.
UH, BUT OTHERWISE THEY SHOULD BE FAIRLY, FAIRLY FLAT FOR RESIDENTIAL.
AND THEN SEWER OR UH, RE UH, COMMERCIAL, IT DOES GET CHARGED FOR THE ACTUAL SEWER THAT THEY, UH, THAT THEY USE, UH, ON A PER THOUSAND GALLON BASIS.
SO THAT DOES, UH, UH, FLUCTUATE JUST A LITTLE BIT.
AND THEN GARBAGE YEAR OVER YEAR.
SO YOU'LL SEE AT 25, 26, UM, GARBAGE SHOULD BE, AGAIN, IT'S A ZOOMED IN AMOUNT.
UM, THEN LAST YEAR WE HAD A SLIGHTLY HIGHER REVENUE.
OH YEAH, 'CAUSE WE HAD THE RECYCLING, I APOLOGIZE.
WE HAD RECYCLING THIS, THIS TIME LAST YEAR, WHICH IS WHY YOU SEE A LITTLE BIT HIGHER RATES BEFORE THEY DROP DOWN.
THIS ONES INCLUDE THE NEW CONTRACT, UM, UM, WHICH THE, UH, THEY KEEP ALL THE RECYCLING, OR SORRY, THE, THE, UH, THE NEW COMPANY.
WE STILL HAVE RECYCLING, I APOLOGIZE.
THE, UH, NEW PROVIDER DOES ALL THE COMMERCIAL BILLING.
SO, UH, THIS IS THE COMMERCIAL BILLING, THESE ELEVATED LEVELS.
AND THEN THIS IS THE RESIDENTIAL SIDE.
AS FAR AS DRAINAGE, THIS ONE IS ALSO A VERY FLAT, UM, FEE.
UM, HERE WE HAD SOME ADJUSTMENTS TO OUR, UH, DRAINAGE FEE.
WE FOUND SOME, UH, LOCATIONS THAT WERE NOT BEING CHARGED DRAINAGE WHEN THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
UH, AS ALSO THAT THE, UH, THEY HAD MORE IMPERVIOUS SURFACE COVERAGE THAN THEY, THAN THEY HAD ACCORDING TO THE ORDINANCE.
SO WE UPDATED, UM, THOSE COMMERCIAL FOLKS.
UH, NONE OF THIS WAS RESIDENTIAL.
RESIDENTIAL IS THAT, UM, THAT SET DOLLAR AMOUNT EACH MONTH.
IF YOU LOOK AT LAST YEAR, WE HAD 711,000.
UH, WE ALSO HAD THE FEE INCREASE LAST OCTOBER AS WELL, UH, WHICH PLAYED AN INCREASE.
UH, PART OF THIS, UH, EMS REVENUE, UH, CAN ALSO FLUCTUATE QUITE A BIT DEPENDING ON, UH, WHAT'S GOING ON.
UH, HOW MANY, UH, SADLY, HOW MANY ACCIDENTS OR HOW MANY CALLS FOR SERVICE THAT COME IN.
TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF THE 25, LAST YEAR ACTUAL WAS ABOUT 7.4, AND THE ACTUAL THIS YEAR IS 8.8.
SO THEY ARE BRINGING A LITTLE BIT MORE IN, UH, THAN LAST YEAR.
THERE WAS A FEE INCREASE RELATED TO THIS ONE AS WELL.
EDC, UH, THEIR REVENUE IS TIED TO THE SALES TAXES AS WELL.
SO YOU'LL SEE HERE, UH, THOSE, UH, IMPACTS OF THOSE SALES TAXES AS THEY COME IN THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE YEAR.
ALRIGHT, TOUCH ON OUR INVESTMENTS.
SO WE GET ALL THOSE FUNDS COMING IN.
UM, CURRENTLY WE HAVE $218 MILLION OVER IN THE INVESTMENT POOLS, WHICH ARE LIKE MONEY MARKET MUTUAL FUNDS, BUT ESPECIALLY FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENTS.
UM, WE CAN PULL ANY OF THOSE AMOUNTS OUT THE NEXT DAY.
UH, WE'RE GETTING ABOUT, UH, 3.7, 3.8% FOR THOSE.
SO WE'RE STILL GETTING A PRETTY GOOD RETURN FOR A GOOD, UH, LIQUIDITY.
UH, WE ONLY HAVE ABOUT $8 MILLION IN CASH.
UH, WE'RE EXPANDING OUR CD PROGRAM.

UM, BEFORE I GET INTO THE DETAILS OF GOING OVER IT THOUGH, SINCE WE DO HAVE SEVERAL NEW MEMBERS ON COUNCIL SINCE WHEN THE DECISION WAS MADE LAST YEAR, I JUST WANNA PROVIDE A COUPLE OF BACKGROUND SLIDES HOW WE GOT TO WHERE WE ARE.
SO, UM, FOR THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN IN SHIRTS FOR A WHILE, WHO REMEMBER THAT BEAR WASTE USED TO PROVIDE OUR SOLID WASTE SERVICES AND DID SO UNTIL 2017 AND AT THAT TIME THEY SOLD TO REPUBLIC AND THEN THE COUNCIL AT THAT TIME ACTUALLY APPROVED, UH, THE ASSIGNMENT OF THE SOLID WASTE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT TO REPUBLIC.
SO THEY TOOK OVER, REPUBLIC TOOK OVER BARE WASTE, UH, CONTRACT THAT THEY HAD.
AND SO WHEN THE CONTRACT WAS AWARDED BACK IN 2015, IT WAS FOR A 10 YEAR AGREEMENT.
SO THE CONTRACT WAS GOING TO COME TO AN END IN 2025.
SO THAT'S WHY LAST YEAR CITY STAFF WORKED TO DO AN RFP PROCESS AND, UH, PUT IT OUT THERE SO WE COULD MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO FOR A NEW OR FOR A SOLID WASTE PROVIDER.
AND ON APRIL 1ST, LAST YEAR IT WAS THE AWARD OF THE NEW CONTRACT TO FRONTIER WASTE SOLUTIONS AND THEY STARTED, UH, JULY 1ST, 2025.
SO WE'RE COMING UP ON THE ONE YEAR MARK OF A FIVE YEAR CONTRACT.
AGAIN, JUST WANT TO KIND OF POINT OUT, UM, FOR THOSE THAT MAY NOT BE AWARE OF IT, WE, THIS IS THE CITY LIMITS OF SHIRTS AND THE AREAS IN PINK WERE THE ONES THAT WERE ACTUALLY RECEIVING TWICE A WEEK SERVICE.

UM, WHEN WE MADE THE SWITCH, AGAIN, REGARDLESS OF WHO WE WERE GOING WITH, WE WENT AWAY FROM THE, THE FALLEN CLEAN, UH, FALLEN SPRING CLEANUP AND WENT TO WHERE THE, YOU COULD JUST SET OUT YOUR BULK BRUSH ITEMS ON YOUR RECYCLING DAY.
SO YOU'RE GETTING MORE, UM, ABILITY TO SET OUT YOUR ITEMS AS YOU NEED IT INSTEAD OF HAVING TO WAIT TWICE, TWICE A YEAR.

UM, IT'S NOT HAPPENING OR IT'S NOT HAPPENING AS FREQUENTLY AS IT SHOULD BE.
UM, AND SO THAT IS SOMETHING THAT WE NEED TO WORK WITH THEM ON AND WE, AND WE HAVE SPOKEN TO THEM ABOUT IT.

SO IT WAS KIND OF THIS, YOU KNOW, I THINK THE BIGGER THING THAT WE WANTED TO ADDRESS WAS THIS DISPARITY IN SERVICE ACROSS THE CITY.
'CAUSE YOU DID HAVE, YOU KNOW, 40% OF THE RESIDENTS NOT GETTING THE SAME LEVEL OF SERVICE AND PAYING THE SAME.
SO, YOU KNOW, AS COUNCIL MEMBER WESTBROOK MENTIONED, IT'S KIND OF THIS NO WIN SITUATION HERE.
BUT WHEN THE RECOMMENDATION WAS MADE AT THE TIME IT WAS BECAUSE THE, UNDER THE TWICE A WEEK, I THINK IT WAS THE SECOND DAY, WAS MAYBE GETTING PICKED UP 35% OF THE TIME.
SO THERE WASN'T REALLY A HIGH USAGE OF THAT SECOND DAY.

WE GOT SECOND PLACE IN THREE CATEGORIES, AND TH THIS ALL UNDER THE, UH, THE, THE, THE FACT THAT WE HAD LIMITED STAFFING LAST YEAR BECAUSE WE ACTUALLY HAD A COUPLE OF VACANCIES IN THAT DEPARTMENT.
THEY STILL PRODUCED EXCELLENT WORK AND WERE ABLE TO WIN.
THE EMS DEPARTMENT, UH, THE EMS CHIEF JASON BABBITT IS HAPPY TO REPORT THAT SHIRT'S EMS HAS BEEN AWARDED THE GOLD AWARD FROM THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION IN 2026 FOR THEIR, FOR THEIR CARDIAC ARREST CARE, AND AS WELL AS THEIR HEART ATTACK CARE.
THEY MET THE REQUIRED KPIS TO WIN THE GOLD LAST, BUT LAST YEAR THEY WERE AWARDED SILVER.
SO IT ACTUALLY WAS AN IMPROVEMENT FROM LAST YEAR.

UH, TONIGHT WE HAVE OUR, UH, NEXT QUARTERLY BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS BEFORE YOU.
UH, THESE ITEMS WERE RELATED TO EXPENSES THAT CAME UP THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, UM, THAT WERE IDENTIFIED BY DEPARTMENTS.
EITHER THEY WERE ADJUSTMENTS FROM LAST YEAR, UH, OR THEY WERE COME THROUGH BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT, UH, BUDGETED DUE TO, UM, JUST BEING AWARDED LIKE FOUR GRANTS.
SO I WANTED TO GO FOR A LITTLE MORE DETAIL.
UM, LOOKING BACK AT WHAT WAS SUBMITTED IN THE PACKET, I FIGURED EVERYONE COULD LOOK AT JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE OF A LINE ITEM, UH, VIEW TO KINDA GET AN IDEA OF WHAT'S EXACTLY IN THOSE.
I WAS KIND OF GENERALIZED IN THE, IN THE PACKET AND THE AGENDA ITEM.
UH, IN THE FIRE ONE, UH, THERE'S COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT.
THESE ARE RADIO REPLACEMENTS, 55,000, UM, JUST ANNUAL RADIO PURCHASE.
IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ZERO IN THE ORIGINAL SUBMITTED BUDGET.
SO THIS IS TAKING FUNDS THAT WERE, WERE NOT USED, THAT WERE ALLOCATED TO THIS AND PUTTING 'EM BACK IN THERE.
UM, FIRE ALSO HAS A COUPLE OF GRANTS, UH, FOR TUSS AND STRAC, THESE ARE, WHEN WE'RE DEPLOYED, WE HAVE EQUIPMENT, UH, THAT

IS, HAS BEEN GIVEN TO THE CITY OF CHURCH, SO WE CAN KIND OF USE DAY TO DAY.BUT WHENEVER THERE IS A DEPLOYMENT, SO THERE'S A WILDFIRE SOMEWHERE IN THE SAY OF TEXAS.
TEXAS CALLS UP SAYS, HEY, WE NEED YOUR PEOPLE TO COME OUT, BRING THAT EQUIPMENT THAT WE, UH, THAT WE GOT TO YOU.
AND, UM, WHEN IT GOES OUT, UM, WE ARE ABLE TO SUBMIT FOR REIMBURSEMENTS ON EXPENSES RELATED TO THOSE EQUIPMENT AND THOSE DEPLOYMENTS.
SO ALL THAT'S COMPLETELY REFUNDABLE BACK TO THE CITY OF CHURCH.
SO WE MAY WRITE THE CHECK, BUT THEY TURN AROUND AND GIVE US SOME THE MONEY BACK.
UM, ALSO, UH, SO ON THE REGULAR SIDE, WHICH IS THE, THE SALARY AND WAGES, UH, 401,000, UH, THERE'S A COUPLE RELATED TO THAT.
THAT'S, IT'S MAINLY FOR THE, UH, SAFER GRANT.
SO WE ARE AWARDED A SAFER GRANT, WHICH ALLOWS US TO HIRE FIREFIGHTERS FOR THE BRAND NEW STATION, UH, EARLY.
AND THEN WE GET 70% OF THOSE, UM, WAGES BACK.
WE HAD ALREADY HAD, UH, ESTIMATED, UH, FOR THAT GRANT TO COME IN AS WELL AS THE FIREFIGHTERS TO BE HIRED TOWARDS THE END OF THE YEAR.
BUT LOOKING AT WHERE WE WERE, WE FIGURED WE COULD BRING IN ON A LITTLE BIT EARLIER, GET THEM TRAINED UP.
AND SO THAT'S WHY NET THIS ADJUSTMENT'S ONLY ABOUT A HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS.
UH, ON THE PARK SIDE, WE'RE HAVING A BIGGER JUBILEE THAN WE HAD, UH, ORIGINALLY BUDGETED.
WE GOT APPROVAL TO GO FORWARD WITH THAT ONE.
UH, SO WE HAVE $75,000 FOR THE JUBILEE.
WE'RE GONNA INCREASE THE BUDGET THERE.
THEY'RE ACTUALLY USING THOSE FUNDS FROM THEIR RESERVES.
UH, THIS IS AGAIN, SPECIAL TRAINING, UH, FUNDS THAT THE STATE TURNS AROUND AND GIVES US.
SO WHILE THIS IS A $15,000 INCREASE IN THEIR BUDGET, WE ALREADY HAVE THAT MONEY IN THE BANK GIVEN TO US BY THE STATE.
WE CAN ONLY SPEND IT ON THAT TRAINING.
UM, AS WELL AS THE A TRANSFER OUT FOR 49,000.
THE SKY WATCH TOWER GRANT, UH, CAME BEFORE COUNCIL, SO THAT'S ANOTHER GRANT.
THE CITY'S PORTION OF THE GRANT WAS 49,000.
WE'RE JUST GONNA, UM, OR, UH, WE'RE GONNA MOVE THOSE FUNDS OR INCREASE IT FROM THE TRANSFER OUT SO WE CAN GET THAT OVER TO THE GRANT FUND.
AND THAT WAS TO IDENTIFY THE CITY'S PORTION OF THAT GRANT.
UM, SO THE LARGEST AREA THAT WE WANTED TO MAKE SURE Y'ALL WERE UNDER, UH, WERE LOOKING AT, UM, WE HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH A LOT OF LAND PURCHASES.
WE'RE CURRENTLY ESTIMATING ABOUT 600,000, UM, OF ADDITIONAL LAND PURCHASES FOR THE GENERAL FUND THIS YEAR.
UH, WE'RE ALSO LOOKING AT THE COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT.
UM, THE APPRAISAL DISTRICTS, UH, GO UP ABOUT $50,000 ANNUALLY.
WE HAVE ALL THREE APPRAISAL DISTRICTS.
WE HAVE TO USE COUNTY OR OPE, AL AND BAYER.
UM, SO WE NEED TO ADJUST THAT AND WE'RE LOOKING AT THAT FOR NEXT YEAR.
UM, AND THEN THE MAIN STREET LOCAL PROGRAM, THAT'S NOT ONE IN HERE.
I TOOK IT OFF THE AGENDA, BUT IT WAS NOT REMOVED FROM THE SPREADSHEET.
SO WE CAN, UM, REMOVE THAT ONE.
UH, WE'RE ALSO GONNA MOVE 250,000 OUT FOR THE, UM, PD 70, UH, REMODEL PROJECT.
AND THEN THE CITY ELECTION, UM, A LITTLE BIT HIGHER THIS YEAR.
WE HAD A COUPLE OF EXTRA MULTIPLE, UH, SPECIAL ELECTIONS AND MULTIPLE, UH, ELECTIONS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
THERE WAS CURRENTLY, UH, FRANKLY WE DIDN'T PLAN FOR.
IT'LL BE ABOUT, UH, $1.3 MILLION ADDITIONAL SALES TAXES WE SAW FROM THE EARLIER PRESENTATION.
WE HAVE MET THAT ADDITIONAL SALES TAXES COMING IN.
UH, SO WE HAVE THAT AVAILABLE.
AND THEN, UH, FINALLY ON THE PARKLAND DEDICATION.
WE'D ALSO COME TO COUNCIL EARLY THIS YEAR, UM, FOR THE, UH, WEST WEST EATS CREEK TRAIL PROJECT GRANT.
THIS IS ANOTHER GRANT RELATED, UM, ITEM.
UM, AND THIS IS THE CITY'S PORTION OF THAT GOING INTO THE GRANT.
SO WE'RE GONNA AUTHORIZE THE, UH, ABILITY TO SPEND THAT MONEY FOR CITY'S PORTION.
UM, I WENT OVER THAT FAIRLY QUICKLY, BUT I DID WANNA GO THROUGH A LITTLE MORE LINE ITEM DETAIL THAN IT WAS IN THE PACKET SO YOU COULD SEE EVERYTHING THAT WAS KIND OF GOING IN THERE.
